I know this problem has been mentioned in an earlier post, but it has just reared its ugly head again. When we changed the registration of the Citroen from UK to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, despite there being a tow bar fitted, it was not noted on the registration.

Anyone know how to ask for the skin to be left on a pork roast, so that you can get the crackling?? Just had a beautiful loin roast from the butcher, but they cut all the skin off before it is on display, so no nice crunchy bits when roasted.

For those of you, who walk dogs around the San Ruffino tracks. There is an ½ûÂþÌìÌà Woman who sometimes has been seen there with an Alsatian, quite often not on a lead.

Stalk & clean 1lb of sloes, prick all over with a darning needle and put in a bottling jar. Add 3-4oz of granulated sugar + a few drops of almond essence or a little Noyeau liqueur.

Anyone have a Canon printer that uses the BCI 24C colour cartridges? I have 5 unused compatible cartridges, as now have a Epson printer. Free to a good home, as against throwing them in the bin!!

Is there a function so that we can insert a PDF or Word document into a post? I have some information for the Energy certificate topic, but cannot see any way to insert it without copying and pasting( PDF of about 7 pages).

The last few weeks, have been walking the dog past the above park area in the evenings. The picnic/viewing area is virtually overgrown, with only the first few metres of grass having been cut, empty plastic bottles strewn around the bins etc.

Have been trying to find full tariff info on Italy Powered, as sure there is a catch somewhere. The website seems to just put the headine rate and very little else. Maybe they only supply up to 3Kw at those prices. Hopefully will get some details from my office soon.

I use Eurobird on 28.5E. You get a lot of programs in English and did not need to change dish, just redirected. Good for watching the rugby, F1, Grand National on the BBC feeds. For other UK progs, may be worth trying to get a free VPN from this site: Ìý

Ram. Think you can have as many Kw as you want. Yes maybe the lines need upgrading, but that was no problem here 7 years ago. Fillede: 6.6 Kw would have put limits far too low on what we wanted to use. Heat pump input 2.2 Kw, electric oven 3.0Kw. In winter with washing machine/ tumble dryer etc all working at the same time. We prefer to have the power available when needed and not worry about the few extra euro supply cost.

I agree Capo Boi, I omitted that by mistake. Thanks for the clarification. We run on 15kw here.

Sun, 07/17/2011 - 10:01

At current rates on a D3 tarrif, you will pay 1.17210 Euro per kw supplied. Usage Kwh rates are the same. If you have geothermal, then you can opt for the special BTA3 tarrif to supply that alone at al less cost for the Kwh rate. Ìý

I wonder also how they define pensioner. It may be that if you have reached the age that ½ûÂþÌìÌÃs can retire at, then it is okay. From what I can understand, if you have a UK government pension (ie public and not private or state pension) then there is no tax liability here in Italy.Ìý Sure someone will correct me if I am wrong

The following link may help with seeing the tax liability here. A pensioner getting up to E7500 pa has the advantage of no tax to pay. 2nd link is IRPEF caculator, only in ½ûÂþÌìÌà though.

Your Quote: perhaps for a geothermal project you should have asked a mechanical engineer? I did not say that architects can do everything...architects deal with architecture (restoration, new design, materials, etc) and so they should be employed in their field (ie, restoration work in this topic), but for advise on heating systems an engineer would be the right professional to employ. We were the engineers that the client had asked about the project. Unfortunately the "architect" decided that she was the expert on the heating. I must admit that apart from one other project, I have never seen so many un-intelligent emails in quite a long time.Ìý Unfortunately, I have deleted all the emails, but this comment from her to the client showed her level of expertise in everything. I will try and look up on the old site the example of her plumber and how underfloor heating should look. Did you know that the water from the ground loop was brought into the pump, where an immersion heater then heated it to the temperature required. Not a go at you Marco, just highlighting what you yourself say above.
