Anyone have any idea on pricing for an external chimney from a pellet stove to reach above the roof line on the 2nd floor of a house. I am posting on behalf of a friend who is not well enough to do her own research, so forgive me for being vague.

I have a very good friend who is being harassed by a previous partner by phone.I remember in the UK that British Telecom had steps they could take to prevent nuisance calls of this nature.

Following on from another thead, what will happen to the ever increasingly aged farming communities, now that their children no longer want to work on the land?

So now being in possession of our permanent residency, apart from health care issues (and the rather nice baseball hat from the Sindico) what other advantages can we expect ?.

An Aesops fables moment (OK I know that was grapes....) I went down to check on our  large cherry tree, bent over with the weight of cherries this year and surprised two large adult foxes doing the same thing.

Small point, but 5yrs residency qualifies you for permanent residency...with its attendant health cover which gives you the same rights as ½ûÂþÌìÌÃs. I think Citizenship is something else again, no doubt Penny has good information on this.

In my experience as a permanant resident here in Italy. Public sector pensions taxed in the uk, private pensions as Fillide says taxed in Italy, and any monies earned in Italy also taxed here. Would advise the use of a good commersialista who understands the English and the ½ûÂþÌìÌà tax systems, and who already has clients with these particular requirments, can recommend a very good one in Marche if anyone is interested.

We always send detailed instructions to our apartment, however some seem to leave this at home and rely on dumb dumb.....hence lost, lost. Last guests found by neighbour and hand delivered to the door, must have wondered what this toothless 80yrs old was taking them to....welcome to Marche!....sweet. neighbourhood watch at its best.

And slower...

I sympathise Penny, frustrating and annoying. When we were selling our house in Sussex, we would spend precious Saturdays cleaning, making sure the garden looked good and then the so++ didnt turn up. Nothing more weird than the potential buyer. You will get there in the end!.

I am spraying the chicken coop and a corner of the pen with the garden hose, so that Rose gets a nice cool mud-bath I may well join her!

I have found that blood stains (the next gory challenge to apartment owners!) will come out by soaking in salt and cold water, and then an enzyme wash, and then the full sun drying. Tedious, but effective, as for other linens as Raggio suggests, buy bright colours for towels and bathmats.

And you will probably get it at Fermo, we luckily have never had a problem with them.
