I thought I would start a new thread on this for easy access.
Anyone have any idea on pricing for an external chimney from a pellet stove to reach above the roof line on the 2nd floor of a house. I am posting on behalf of a friend who is not well enough to do her own research, so forgive me for being vague.
I have a very good friend who is being harassed by a previous partner by phone.I remember in the UK that British Telecom had steps they could take to prevent nuisance calls of this nature.
Following on from another thead, what will happen to the ever increasingly aged farming communities, now that their children no longer want to work on the land?
So now being in possession of our permanent residency, apart from health care issues (and the rather nice baseball hat from the Sindico) what other advantages can we expect ?.
An Aesops fables moment (OK I know that was grapes....) I went down to check on our large cherry tree, bent over with the weight of cherries this year and surprised two large adult foxes doing the same thing.

Anne, you can order BS from the local Coal in Piane de Falerone...we did last year, so if you want some can order for you....we are having a traditional curry this year!.
Census form filled in and handed in at the commune this morning.Much the same experience as our Andrew, designated official went through it and entered it onto the computer, the few errors that we made (it was difficult to find educational qualifications that matched the ½ûÂþÌìÌà system) were corrected....done and dusted.
Sprostoni, thank you for the links, a terrible situation as Gala says, will be watching the news later tonight. Whilst it has been raining hard here most of the day in Marche, there is no flooding down in the valley, and no mud slides. Am thankful that we live at 400mtrs and are sheltered.
Reporting back after speaking to an amazingly helpful woman at the International Pension Centre. Form S1 now in the post. What I did want to add was we discussed the issue of adding a dependant to the form and defining the term "dependant". For us that is a person not in receipt of a UK state pension which is Robert, so she has already added his details to the S1. Such a good result, and thanks to Penny again!.
Hi Chris I wish, the only full Monty around here is our kitten!...its all in the funding whatever your status...will report back after contacting the IPC. thank you for your good wishes A
Thanks so much Penny....you are a gem!!!!
Complicated it is Chris...see my post re re-registration.....still trying to get it sorted out, its the health cover that appears to count... not the end date on your Tessera ,I was told you need to either be a pensioner, work in Italy and therefore have equivalent of NI contributions, or pay for health care.I have unearthed another form, E121 which I should have I think registered, and silly me didnt, but it appears to cover under the reciprical rules. Penny is the expert on this, would you like to comment Penny and then I can move forward again, hopefully in the right direction, its not easy after nearly 6 yrs living here!.
Sorry for no content on title page! There is a drive in Marche at present under the guise of re-registration with your family GP. What it appears to be achieving is testing the eligability for health care, across the board. Having queued for 2 hrs at Fermo hospital on Thursday and after much wrangling with the official there we were given a new form dated for 2 yrs....This doesnt seem to be correct after having followed Pennys exhaustive research on the topic...we have permenant residency and long lasting Tessera cards. Anyone else come across this? It is worrying. The new form states that this is a new EU directive and is to be carried out in all states of the union.
Gala you have always been a positive contributer to this forum....for many years now...and your imput is much appreciated. Flip I truely believe you want to cause discord and start negative threads within the forum, its been done before as you are well aware...give it a rest and let those who want to share experiences and seek advice get on with it without your brand of "humour"..no one wants to gag you or dictate what you write...but some positive imput would be much appreciated. Ok had my say and I wont be engaging in any point scoring on this issue.
We had a resident rat in the pantry bought in by one of our cats...the 4 cats used to pop in and chat to it. Think they befriended it ..after humane traps and then lethal traps and then poison the rat finally died...but it was a long process. If it was outside in a shed I wouldnt worry. Interesting when you say you are out in the country and there are no cats?...plenty of semi-feral that would love a new home!...and will become the perfect house -cat, we have 3 of these but too well fed to catch rats...tuna and chicken ...rats no thank you.
