This year's winter fashion week in Milan has seen beautiful collections such as geometric knits for Missoni, "sensualità" for D&G and furs for others (never bought a fur and I think I'll never do)...

Hi Fox,you are at a pretty good level of knowledge re ½ûÂþÌìÌà ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ!The two examples you highlighted are conditionals. I can now give you further explanations about those examples.

  1. First example: "Non so se dovremmo andarci" could be turned in the Subjective like that: "non so se sia il caso di andare"
  2. Second example: "Mi ha detto che sarebbe venuto" In this case we don't use Subjective, even if the clauses are introduced by a "che" conjuntion simply because it's reported speech.Think about this situation: Direct Speech: Mi ha detto: "verrò"; Reported speech: Mi ha detto che sarebbe venuto.

Sorry about the mistake, hope it makes sense now.Ìý Ìý

"Can you explain why you used the congiuntivo presente tense in your first sentence in ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, "sono felice che tu sia.......".Hi Gerry, thanks for asking this. I'm sure many non-½ûÂþÌìÌÃs are wondering the same thing.Using the subjunctive varies from a language to another.ÌýFor this reason I'll dedicate a lesson to it, in a separate post underÌýÌýtopic.Do not hesitate to post other queries, I will be more than happy to answer to them, as far as I've the capabilities to do that.Ìý

Hi Conrad! Thanks for all of your inputs! I've made my own researches and find out more about Cat Stevens. I think that most ½ûÂþÌìÌÃs know "Wild World" because of this famous commercial:I've also learned something more about Stevens music world:"There is a criticism sometimes of my music, that it's kind of naïve, but then again that's exactly why people like it. It goes back to the pure childish approach of seeing things almost for the first time. A kid can say things like, 'Why is a cow?' You shouldn't put those words together! But if you do, then it makes you stop and think" - taken fromÌýÌýHere it is the text of Claudio Baglioni song. It tells a story of a men/boy remembering of the good past days with his girlfriend. The first love of your life, the one that you never forget but that now is gone. Thanks for mentioning Yusuf Islam, I've never heard about that.I also appreciated to re-listen to "Ci vuole un Fiore": a children song simple and enjoying everyone who listen to it!Alla prossima!ValentinaÌý

Adriatica's question is not without sense. In fact ICI tax - which is the tax to pay if you own a house in Italy - is sent at home with the amount already calculated. Maybe it's different with you, since you live abroad. However my friend told me that the owner and other details about the house (type, use) are indicated in the Visura Catastale document of your house in Italy.Re the use, since it is your second home, it should be "immobile tenuto a disposizione".Hope this helps.ValentinaÌý
