I know this problem has been mentioned in an earlier post, but it has just reared its ugly head again. When we changed the registration of the Citroen from UK to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, despite there being a tow bar fitted, it was not noted on the registration.

Anyone know how to ask for the skin to be left on a pork roast, so that you can get the crackling?? Just had a beautiful loin roast from the butcher, but they cut all the skin off before it is on display, so no nice crunchy bits when roasted.

For those of you, who walk dogs around the San Ruffino tracks. There is an ½ûÂþÌìÌà Woman who sometimes has been seen there with an Alsatian, quite often not on a lead.

Stalk & clean 1lb of sloes, prick all over with a darning needle and put in a bottling jar. Add 3-4oz of granulated sugar + a few drops of almond essence or a little Noyeau liqueur.

Anyone have a Canon printer that uses the BCI 24C colour cartridges? I have 5 unused compatible cartridges, as now have a Epson printer. Free to a good home, as against throwing them in the bin!!

Is there a function so that we can insert a PDF or Word document into a post? I have some information for the Energy certificate topic, but cannot see any way to insert it without copying and pasting( PDF of about 7 pages).

The last few weeks, have been walking the dog past the above park area in the evenings. The picnic/viewing area is virtually overgrown, with only the first few metres of grass having been cut, empty plastic bottles strewn around the bins etc.

Just brought this forward again, as remember some comments from the B&B owners close to where we are in Amandola. The dairy farm that had been there for a number of years, upset them, as the milking started at 5.30 am, and would possibly wake their guests. They wanted to complain to the commune and the tourist board. Pathetic when you live in the country areas.

Stop buying English Bacon........ use speck. No Heinz baked beans. Get a heat pump for the rental unit, then you can rent it out all year.

On average for the hot water yes. At the moment, it is only operating 5 hrs a week. Total operating hours over the same period, were 1830. The split DHW/Heating 20/80%. So 1464hrs x 2.2kw = 3220.8 kwh is the 24/7 heating cost. If you base that @ 25 cents per Kwh, then it works out just over 805 Euro to heat the house for the year. Have still got about half of the 50 quintale of wood we bought over 6 years ago, as only have very few fires.

Definately a no brainer. Just worked out the heat pump (160 ltr tank) DHW running hours for the last 12 months (13/6/2011 - 18/06/2012). Running hours DHW = 366 x 2.2kw = 805kwh. Have multiplied that by 0.25 cents per hour, so cost came out just over 200 Euro. Recharge time from 46C to 53C approx 5 mins. No unsightly panels thankfully. A GSHP can repay the investment in 4 years against lpg, with heating 24/7. With the added up to 55% tax reduction, plus the special meter rate the saving return can be even better.

Last year, the province put out a brochure with a lot of the Fiestas listed. Have not had one this year so far, though.

Should have got a heat pump on the BTA3 tarriff, oldandbold. Your electric cost is more than mine for the year and I don't have LPG thankfully for heating.  You could also use the heat pump to heat the pool!!
