 Keep in mind that the tax is charged only on the cadastral value of the property and not the purchase price. Sometimes, trying to get residency within the required time is not worth all the trouble involved.

 Hi Richard. It will be difficult within Bagni di Lucca itself as dogs are supposed to be kept on leash in parks such as Contessa Cassalini. I would add that it will also be dangerous for the dogs because of the existing traffic. We don't have that problem as our dog is an elderly lady who is not up to much running around, anyway. I checked the Comune site and there is no information. Perhaps a visit to the Tourist Information Service, near the Town Hall may be of help.
 I had the same problem for quite a few hours since Sunday afternoon. It was always "unobtainable". Glad we are back to normal!!!
