After my success answering Annec's question, its my turn. However, I’m not clever enough for an ‘½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’ question – so I’ll go for one with a ‘Greek’ connection insteadI’m a ‘sad’ man who likes numbers.
You say it is an apartment - so [as always] my advice is to talk to your neighbours, and see who they recommend. Best bet is to get 2 or 3 quotes - but don't automatically choose the cheapest.Â
Don't know whether these will give any background info;-http://www.ancien-longtermcare.eu/sites/default/files/ENEPRI%20_ANCIEN_%20RR%20No%2080%20Italy%20edited%20final.pdfandhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health/9780806/Cristina-Odone-Why-Im-packing-my-mother-off-to-Italy.htmlhttp://www.ecvetforec.eu/presentations_04032013/speha_fresia.pdf Alan
It also depends how good yout ½ûÂþÌìÌà is - if you are looking for a position where you only need English, its probably not worth looking. However - Google 'English speaking jobs in Milan' and you get things likehttp://www.jobsinmilan.com/Â
As a guide - but each Comune is differentMy place is about 120sqm including store and garage. Last year I paid 520Euro for IMU & TASI, and 180Euro for Tari  - Total abot 700 Euro
I think you need to give us a bit more info, if you want some real suggestions. Things like;-
when you say you'll take 9 days, are you hoping to stop for a day or two in places that interest you [if so, what is of interest], or are you intending to do say 100 miles a day [to give an afternoon/morning at a location]Â and do overnight stops all the way
Route - I think you need to flesh it out a bit, so people get a feel for where you think you want to go
Suggestion - get some detailed road atlases if you want to avoid motorways [I bought some through Amazon]Â Hope this helps
