I do not know how many are aware, but now if you need to renew your UK passport while living in Italy, the documentation now has to be sent to Paris.

Just found the tax incentives site, so is still available:

If they come under the renewables umbrella, then is normally 10% to buy and install. If a new build, you may be able to get @ 4%. There was a scheme where you could get extra reductions for other insulation, if you pay tax, but cannot find it on the Enea site. Will have to check with the office if still available.

Digger rate is high for a small job. The guys I use for Geothermal installs are E40 hr for bobcat and E60 hr for JCB size, all inclusive of the operator. They can excavate 2 x 120 mtr trenches 1.5 mtrs deep, x 1.2 mtr wide in a day. So 10 hrs is E600 with the JCB. Forgot to add, with a preventivo, price will be higher in case something unforseen occurs. Would get the hourly rate if straightforward job.

Would like to help, but only deal with geothermal installs, new and retrofit.

Pat H. That is the worst site to look for anything. Most posters have only ever made 1 post, so are obviously well seasoned travellers!!! .......... or paid, discounted if they write a good review. if 10 reviews over a number of  hotels etc, then I may believe them. Just looking at a couple of local sites, seems like most have never travelled anywhere.

You just need to get in touch with Telecom Italia. They will tell you if ADSL is available and if you can be connected from the existing lines. Would not think there would be a problem towards Montifortino.

Seems they like light coloured clothing. Couple of weeks ago, was dismantling a milking parlour (electrics etc. ) for a ½ûÂþÌìÌà farmer friend. First 2 days, dark t-shirts, no problem, 3rd day a light one and bitten so much the shirt had blood patches all over.

Suggest you get in touch with Telecom, especially if the lines are close to the house. We had the normal line installed here before the works on the house were finished and then ADSL as soon as available. As about 5k from Amandola, cannot get the high download speeds, but normal 1.3 - 1.6 mbs, Skype is ok, with very few line drops, 700mb film takes about 1.5 hrs to download, BBC iplayer, download and save/convert instead of watching online.
