I know this problem has been mentioned in an earlier post, but it has just reared its ugly head again. When we changed the registration of the Citroen from UK to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, despite there being a tow bar fitted, it was not noted on the registration.

Anyone know how to ask for the skin to be left on a pork roast, so that you can get the crackling?? Just had a beautiful loin roast from the butcher, but they cut all the skin off before it is on display, so no nice crunchy bits when roasted.

For those of you, who walk dogs around the San Ruffino tracks. There is an ½ûÂþÌìÌà Woman who sometimes has been seen there with an Alsatian, quite often not on a lead.

Stalk & clean 1lb of sloes, prick all over with a darning needle and put in a bottling jar. Add 3-4oz of granulated sugar + a few drops of almond essence or a little Noyeau liqueur.

Anyone have a Canon printer that uses the BCI 24C colour cartridges? I have 5 unused compatible cartridges, as now have a Epson printer. Free to a good home, as against throwing them in the bin!!

Is there a function so that we can insert a PDF or Word document into a post? I have some information for the Energy certificate topic, but cannot see any way to insert it without copying and pasting( PDF of about 7 pages).

The last few weeks, have been walking the dog past the above park area in the evenings. The picnic/viewing area is virtually overgrown, with only the first few metres of grass having been cut, empty plastic bottles strewn around the bins etc.

Well, I must admit that our dentist is very good, albeit as most anywhere are expensive even in the UK. I had my first visit to ours here after being ripped off by the English ones, (for work that was not even needed) and he was excellent. Wife, also has just been back for some crowns after having implants and they were as painless as possible, considering the work that had to be carried out. Also given his mobile number in case of any problems and told to call at any time. I hate dentists, but would use ours again at any time if I had a problem.

You can buy bags of red kidney beans at the Asian shop in Corridonia, obviously they have virtually everything there to make an Indian curry as well. There is also a Lidl in Corridonia.Thai food ingredients, I order from a supplier in the north of Italy. Just had over 100Euros worth delivered including fresh lemon grass ( you have to email them for the lemon grass, as its not on the online catologue). Normally 24 hrs from placing the order, the delivery arrives.

How wrong you are Kay. In Vietnam I ate Vietnamese, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia etc, the same, always local food....... no Spanish Costa "English Breakfasts etc.  So, here I do the same at most times, eat ½ûÂþÌìÌà dishes, but also cook other countries food. It is always good to have a change and I think that was the whole point of the original posting. You do not always have to eat just local food and I cannot see why you are so anti against culinary variety.

Kay Parley.......... when many of the ½ûÂþÌìÌÃs go on holiday to foreign countries, eg Mauritius, Thailand etc, then they look for ½ûÂþÌìÌà restaurants, so what is the difference here, that we cannot go and try again the full range of cooking that we can get in the UK. I order Thai ingredients, when I want a change from the repetitive menu that seems to be in every menu. Each to their own, so if you think ½ûÂþÌìÌà is the only food worth eating, then that's your choice. Variety of cooking is the spice of life!!!!

SagraiasolarHave you heard about the new air/water heat pump for domestic hot water only, from Ariston? Launched at the Solarexpo in Verona this May. Uses only 310W in normal mode, on the 100 ltr tank model, with electric backup if needed. Cost I have been informed is under 1000 Euro + IVA. Cannot put a link to the documentation as only have the details in PDF.

Have just found this info, only in ½ûÂþÌìÌà though.

VeniceLaura. There is a post started by Ram, either on page 1 or page 2 of the piazza explaining the energy certification introduction/rules etc. Regarding the costs you were quoted for it, that seems very high. Normally it is around 3 - 3.50 Euros per sq mtr + IVA. Hope this helps.

It would be good for sure. As you say Ronald has got so much tweaking to do, so we will have to just wait and see.
