Appears there is a virus originally found earlier this year, that many AV companies and firewalls have had problems stopping. Zonealarm free firewall does not stop it, although the full version now does.
The orto so far this year has produced mixed results: zucchini, green beans, tomatoes have gone mad Thai holy basil, lemon grass, baby sweet corn also doing well, as are the swedes. Failures at the moment: parsnips and mange tout.
This looks like another new tax that has just been introduced here. On each prescription item, you have to pay 21 cents, even if the medication previously was free.
Does anybody have any recipes for cooking black truffles. We had one today, cooked in an omelette in the French style, but would like to know if anyone has used them with pork, as still have another 2 to use up before they go off.

Suggest you get this system to lay under the concrete. I have used it, and with a bitumen shield on the wall it works well, plus ventilation outlet to outside. If you can, also put a drainage channel to the outside using the green perforated plastic piping. Also put a steel mesh,20x20cm on top of this for strength and then a 5cm concrete layer.
How large is your cottage RIMCN?
Not a good idea to have the therrmostat in the Kitchen area, as it gives wildly fluctuating readings. The norm is in a living room. There again, if you spend most of the time in the kitchen, it doesn't really matter!!!
3 hours a day, with hot water is very high in my opinion to cost e400 per month. You may need to look at some type of heat storage unit to help bring your costs down. There are a few members who could probably give you better advice, as I only know geothermal.
600 litres of gpl sounds about right for 6 -8 weeks of winter heating, although for only 6 hours a day, you must be using radiators. Underfloor would probably cost the same, albeit would be for a 24/7 installation. The cold weeks will soon be over, so then you should not get so many shocks. Check your insulation!!!
Have never known such a c**p company. Constant marketing calls, and even when told no, that we didn't want their lovely calcio/ sport channels, they still added the cost. We cancelled everything in the end, but still they wanted more money. Ended up with the other recovery agent Equitalia. Just gave up in the end and paid their demands. Murdoch or whoever he is is really coining it for a load of rubbish programmes.
1)It was in excellent condition, 85,000 mls full mot and cost only £750 pounds insurance from stuart collins. 2) By the way the full comp insurance from stuart collins was about £400 for the year.
Capo Boi Are you using electric underfloor heating and inverter style or other aircon?
The cost in 2007, was related to the house being held at a temperature of 21C, now it is 19C and still very comfortable. It is all a matter of getting everything set to your own level. With underfloor heating, it is best set at 19C, as it gives an overall heat distribution unlike radiators. 80% of energy cost in a heat pump relate to house heating and the other 20% to domestic hot water. This would also apply to any other heating source. Estimates that I have had for people using normal electricity consumption have been around E1200 p.a., with washing machines etc, so it is all a matter of how you want to live.
