We now have a new addition to the family here, a orphaned leveret. It is only about 8 days old now, but seems to be doing quite well and putting on weight. Feeding it a kitten milk mixture. Anyone else had experience of bringing them up??

Have just seen that there is a proposed filling station strike next week for 2 days!!
Italymag's latest post has just amused us here, about the ½ûÂþÌìÌà Chef Aldo Zilli, as being one of the first to introduce "proper" ½ûÂþÌìÌà food into London. There were many restaurants in London, in the 70's prior to him arriving. One, San Frediano,
Hope nobody has booked flights with this airline in Italy
Didn't take long, before it started. Non ½ûÂþÌìÌà B&B!!! From a TripAdvisor commentBreakfast on the patio was excellent- even including bacon and eggs!
Wonder if anyone having the same problems:1. You read a post logged in, then refresh and then it tells you that you have x number of unread posts, even though you have read all.
Because it was raining today, thought to do some price comparisons re non ½ûÂþÌìÌà B&B's to ½ûÂþÌìÌà ones in Marche. I will not name any, but to be honest, you are better staying in ½ûÂþÌìÌà establishments.
New regulations for those who drive down via France for 2012
Understand there are going to be some new PV industrial size installations in and around Amandola.

Londonlass.Once you have signed in, then you can view your connection status by right clicking on the icon in the taskbar. The server will log you off automatically if not being used, but normally gives a warning giving so many seconds. If it shows connected, then you can check your IP Address with this site. That will tell you where your computer is meant to be located. On my last login, I was in the Yorkshire dales. If you close the site, then it will revert back to the ½ûÂþÌìÌà IP.PS Once you had your registration, you did download the software I presume, so you should be able to see it located in network connections, in control panel.Â
Pas55. Did try it, but it is only available to UK residents. You may be able to get it though through IPortal as well. Quote from their site below:TVCatchup is a UK service and can only be accessed by persons located within the United Kingdom. If you are not in the UK, this service is not currently available to you. If you are in the UK, but still receive an "Unauthorised Location" error, please post in this forum.
Once you are connected through IPortal, just open up the BBC iplayer in your browser and select what you want to play. Once you have finished watching or downloading the program, you can close IP and return to your normal internet connection.
Why not spread a 2.5- 5cm strong sharp sand and cement base, then while wet add large gravel on the top surface, lightly tamped down, which will bind into that layer. It would be quite easy to lay in sections and if you edged with old bricks etc., would take lots of wear & tear.
Living costs, are all dependant on the lifestyle you choose. You will not get a straightforward answer as there are many factors, especially with heating/electricity costs. What is the type of heating in the house: GPL, Town gas, pellets, wood, Solar etc. etc? How warm do you want the house? What is the consumption of the electrical appliances? For example, our total cost for all electricity including 24hr heating/hot water for last year was Euro2500.00, so about 200.00 per month (120 sq mtrs). GPL, for the cooker hob E120.00. Water bills about 50.00 for the year. ICI, nil as prima casa....... no swimming pool to put it into a luxury home category, which would change the status. Car insurance (2 cars, fully comprehensive) circa 1200.00 total (not with an ½ûÂþÌìÌà insurer). House and contents insurance <500 p.a.Car servicing is much cheaper over here than the UK, but could not give a comparison with the US. Fuel prices will be higher than the US, but those are easy to compare.Medical costs, as Penny says, you have to pay a contribution for certain things, but those we have found are not excessive.Monthly food bills: meat is quite expensive now, for fillet steak, T Bones etc circa 18.00 per kg for good quality. Lamb is also pricey, pork and chicken not so bad.Vegetables in season are probably average wherever you are in Europe. Eating out in restaurants will also take a large bite out of finances especially if you do that on a regular basis. Taxation .............. no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!Hope this helps Â
We have a 4mm bitumen membrane with cork insulation. Would not recommend plastic as it does degrade quicker. There is always the additional option of getting the builders to put a waterproofing additive into the cement screed as a 2nd line of protection.
You would be much better having the roof repaired properly, with insulation and waterproofing. The logistics of having a " quick fix " may be okay, if it's just a holiday home used for the summer months, but if for living on a long term basis then it would be false economy just to save a few thousand.
Hi Fillide.I am still around (Geotherm), but had to change my screen name due to the new community rules. Lotan, has also been on here under the same name, albeit, his last post was some time ago.Unlike the original forum, this format is not as interactive in content range or ease of navigation unfortunately. This must be the longest discussion thread since the new community started, so perhaps things may get better, or at least we can hope that it does!!!
Same here Chris. The activity is much less, probably because the format is not so user friendly, compared to the original forum, which worked. But progress is inevitable I suppose, even though it seems to have gone in reverse!!!
Very quiet for sure. Perhaps everyone is trying to get some of the sunshine!!! I'am in the middle of a excavation project for a system, but rain stopped that, so have gone back to laying reinforced concrete floors in the cantina.Sure everyone will get back soon when the weather changes again.
