This is my first year attempting to grow some different veg. Planted some seed (admit came from uk) of a squash 'Jumbo Pink Banana'.  They've taken off and produce many flowers, ( presume like zuchini they do the male and female flower thing), a

Think I need Will drawn up here in Italy as I have children from previous marriage who under ½ûÂþÌìÌà law are entitled to a cut when I die.  When I die I want my wife to inherit everything and/or if she dies I get the lot.
Earlier this year, Danno99 made a suggestion that maybe there was a need for a general 'For Sale and Wanted' section. Â Think quite a few people thought it was a good idea and Valentina was, I thought going to set it up. Â That was many months ago.
Unsure if I just havn't picked up on it before, but see Ryanair now flying 2 planes on Thursdays to above destination, second plane leaves uk 17.00 'ish and lands Ancona 20.00'ish, may well be easier if living some distance away and find early pla
Does anyone know whether I can fly with can of spray paint (aerosol) in checked in bag. Have looked at Ryanair site and list of banned substances/items but am still confused. Did learn things I did not know though, like not supposed to put medic

Trying to support 'Man with Fish van' who has started visiting the white road where we live. All of the fish he sells are caught from small boats (no deep sea stuff) and what he has is whats in season..... Have tried all sorts and experimented in the kitchen, but although drawn to the anchovies, 'allice?', dont know what to do with them.... Do you have to fillet them ???? Sure that is hard work......Has anyone got any good recipes/ideas as to how best to deal with them.....Master Chef I am not, - yet, but if I won would love to open a Sea Food Beach Shack....ahhhhh in my dreams......Â
Ummmmmm caterpillars.... Hi Angie, Karen and Patz, Many thanks for replies and thoughts on possible causes and eliminating others..... Forgot to say have a few 'teucrium' plants down the bottom of the 'fenced' garden, also have a number of mature oak trees whose fallen leaves have made a good 6" thick layer around these and other established shrubby plants.  Dylano the dog and his partner in crime 'Tom Cat' have been spending alot of time snuffling and diving into these plants ???? We only have 3 pencil pine trees - young and max 8' high....could the caterpillars have established residence in these or are they too small and young....unsure. Will inspect garden for nests - cobweb like strustures and try clearing leaves away from under and around the 'interesting' plants and shrubs. The nose seems to scab over nicely until he has a scratch or a rub and then it bleeds...have put tea-tree cream on but he likes the taste of that too !!!! Considering a beaker tied on snout but know it will stay on for a mere nano second...back to the drawing board....Many thanks anyway for thoughts and suggestions.
Happened 2 days ago.....around mid-day and involved.....what ???? Dylano the dog spent morning as usual, nothing different usual routine. Walk (on lead) first thing, breakfast followed by digestive biscuit, then a short kip on own rug on portico followed by a check on security (stock fence) for signs of intruders or errant cats....  Owners busy doing what they do.... Around mid-day Dylano the dog appears with red raw area just above nose area (the black wet bit). As the day progresses this saw spot shows signs of approx 10 or more small blisters....examined under strong magnifying glass. Could it have been caused by a) hedgehog                                                b) snake                                                 c) Irritant plant                                                 d) toad                                                 e) or any other mystery plant or animal ??? Should point out he is normally a bit of a wosser and usually lets you know if attack has taken place but not a peep this time....and his general spirits remain as exuberant as ever (just enjoyed nice bone). Appreciate any suggestions as to cause and possible treatment.....as in lotions and potions....Â
Nice there and some nice gardens too. Good luck finding right place Brian....
Space ships and Trombones...yep, var. 'Tromboncino', is shaped like a trombone and and is a climber !!!!
Did not know about problems caused by pollination from courgettes to other squash type veg..... Will soon plant out cougettes, squahes and cucumbers - how far away must I plant courgettes from others or can / should you not grow them all together....Any advice appreciated as this is first year of growing veg here.
