When we purchased our home, we had to request our bank to issue two separate certified cheques, one was for the bank, to pay off the seller's mortgage and the other to the seller, for the balance of payment. Praiano! How lucky you are! We spent a great week there last year. As you wish to come to Tuscany, Â I think that you would enjoy Bagni di Lucca, where we spend part of the year, thermal spa and just a beautiful place, handy as a base to visit Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena, Volterra...All can be done on day trips. There are some working farmhouses in the area. I will try to find out their names.
You will get better fares and more possibilities flying from New York JFK to Rome and then get a bus, or train to Naples. Check the Air France site, www.airfrance.us as they regularly have special offers. I fly with them a lot to and from San Francisco and I can recommend them.
If you are enrolled in an ½ûÂþÌìÌà language school, check with them if they offer homestay arrangements with ½ûÂþÌìÌà families. These arrangements are usually convenient and also provide immersion in the language and culture.
