Anyone used the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry service? I'm hoping to drive down to the holiday home later this year, and was thinking of using the service.
By chance I went on the old Forum yesterday - found that someone had PM'ed me from that forum only a few days ago.  I hadn't got any notification of a PM, but obviously the old Forum PM system still works  It might be worth doing the odd visit
Hopefully they may start flights to the North soon ?
what else can one say?
I can't beleive that its 17+ hours since the last post - or has my PC taken over and hidden everything?

There is an interesting article in today's G2 section of the Guardian newspaper by a woman who moved to Italy, founded a successful business, and has now moved back to the UK [but still has the business] because she missed LondonÂ

Look through this lot - there are a few bread machine recipes in here;-Â Â
They look dead - no movement, but the people below do move. They appeared yesterday afternoon, but I think there was a camera change as what you can see of the 'view' appears different from the nice view of the ski slope. This camera seems to be pointing down onto the ground below it. I suppose the 'insects' got into the housing last autumn and have died out over winter - but as usual, I could be wrong
They may switch to another camera if they have one - so if all you see is snow, thats what they've done
Visit the HMRC website - unless things have changed, there is a 'tax category' for people who visit friends/ family regularly in the UK [not even owning property] - its all about having 'ties' with the UK - If you fall into that category, they'll tax you [what they tax? - I'm not sure. visit the website]  EDIT Just visited website - clear as mud - so talk to a UK tax expert
I know the AA used to do it - you need to speak to them to check whats available these days -Â try 0800 316 2456
If you do a search on ICI you should find plenty of info However, the easiest way is to go to your Comune and ask them how much it should be is - it worked for us, but may depend on which Comune you live in
Article 892  of the Civil Code contains rules that apply to the siting of trees.  They are often contained in the local Building Regulations - see;- look at Page 129 para 3 The book quoted is "½ûÂþÌìÌà private law"  By Guido Alpa, Vincenzo Zeno-Zencovich I suggest you ask at the Comune and/or seek legal advice
".... and ½ûÂþÌìÌà badger beauty brushes are considered the best! ..."  Not if you're a badger!
Cheapest option is definitely Dover Dunkirk from where you are  We travel from Northampton, so I think that your biggest problem will be avoiding the M1 & M25 morning rush hours - so it's either an early start - about 5 am at the latest, or a later one about 8.30am onwards. I'd definitely consider a late crossing with the overnight near Dunkirk as your starter.
If in doubt - ask the Comune
