I wish this could be clarified for me, I would love to mention our apartment but that seems a no no, perhaps Valentina could explain what is acceptable?. I have read the notes re what is suitable, and am none the wiser.

We have a house and apartment in rural Marche, and would love the opportunity to see more of Italy, but we have 3 cats who are much loved and need looking after whilst we are away. Any members with property in Italy care to do a house swap?

Elicat is right a full blood test is around 50euro, but visits to a specialist can be as little as 16.50 euros, and where I live , in Marche which has excellent health facilities, there is a much shorter waiting time. Your GP is the gatekeeper for the red "ticket" which refers you to the health care specialists, but he/she may well need prompting, and if you are coming to live here and have exisisting chronic conditions, make sure you bring enough medication to last until your  ½ûÂþÌìÌà equivalant is found, individuals have to take much more responsibility for their health here in my opinion, you tend to carry your own notes and xrays around with you, I think people seem to take a much more active interest regarding health, and argue about where is the best hospital, who is the best specialist, and if you ask them how they are they will tell you in graphic detail without any qualms, my medical ½ûÂþÌìÌà is coming on well!A

I live in Marche Alma, close to a place called Montegiorgio, up in the hills between the mountains and the sea, think Andrew is around these parts too. I can remember in Derbyshire when the old guys still spoke a sort of dialect, but I guess they dont now, but its still going strong around here!A

We have used ours a Bosch very happily for 3 years here, its cold fill only and about I guess 6 years old now. In fact we bought out a fridge freezer, iron, toaster, all have been fine. its best to be aware that too many electrical goods being used at one time may trip your electrics depending on the supply you have.We did though buy our gas cookers here. I know you were only talking about your washing machine , but you might like to consider buying other goods in the (I assume) UK before you come out, as they can be difficult to source and possibly more expensive. The humble potato masher is a case in point!A

I wont tell then of the day when some naughty boy locked Clara in the Art store room, for the entire lesson, down in the orchard nobody heard, seemed funny at the time, not now though. My sisters were at the school before me and elder was head girl, a tradition she still carries on to this day!Lots of memories we can share, my father worked for Kennings, and knew everybody in Matlock, my youth was blighted!.Re BBQ, you really dont need to bring anything but yourselves, look forward to it.Angie
