Questions Asked
I thought I would start a new thread on this for easy access.
Anyone have any idea on pricing for an external chimney from a pellet stove to reach above the roof line on the 2nd floor of a house. I am posting on behalf of a friend who is not well enough to do her own research, so forgive me for being vague.
I have a very good friend who is being harassed by a previous partner by phone.I remember in the UK that British Telecom had steps they could take to prevent nuisance calls of this nature.
Following on from another thead, what will happen to the ever increasingly aged farming communities, now that their children no longer want to work on the land?
So now being in possession of our permanent residency, apart from health care issues (and the rather nice baseball hat from the Sindico) what other advantages can we expect ?.
An Aesops fables moment (OK I know that was grapes....) I went down to check on our large cherry tree, bent over with the weight of cherries this year and surprised two large adult foxes doing the same thing.

I can only comment on prices here in Marche, but lovely village houses for less than 200,000e, no room for the pool though!. A
Its too high!, we are not on town gas, but a rough estimate for us is 280e per month in the winter, and we have the heating on most of the time except during the night also use a stufa in the kitchen, where we usually are, so as the thermostat is in there it keeps an ambiant heat throughout our 3 storey, 3 bed house. Gas oven and hob , two showers a day.   Robert has fitted internal shutters, which help as we are not D/G in the main house and this really does make a difference, perhaps you are loosing to much heat through glass?. meanwhile the 4 cats keep cosy!

Sorry Heiko, must have thought erratic=bad, but I know what you mean now. The thread did say "grumpy", nothing makes me grumpy but some things make me angry and upset, I dislike the unmanaged hunting, especially the killing of migrant birds, and I loath the casual cruelty that some ½ûÂþÌìÌÃs have with regard to animal welfare, just to clarify that I am not unaware of deeper and darker issues that this country raises for those who live here.
You see I dont think queuing is erratic here ( in my area of Marche), everyone knows their place, be it doctors surgery or supermarket, they are always counting who is next, and our PO doesnt have any problem with stamps, am I living in a time warp here?, and foreign cheques no problem at out bank. Better not say where I live (dont tell Sarah) or will be inundated with moaning minnies, keen to find fault.
Nothing, but then I am not a grumpy old woman. Actually its an interesting topic you raise Mr Mustard, I have noticed a large amount of grumpy old ex/pat male Brits here who moan all the time, one wonders why they chose to live in Italy if they dislike it so much, or perhaps they would be a bunch of moaning minnies wherever they lived?Anyone else noticed this trait?.......
ohhh I got it on the medical, but now I realise its a receptical for Andrews knees.
Sauce boat, or some strange medical device?. Its copper but the handle and the covering must be heat resistant, am I close?. ,
I dont think anyone posted with disdain, so I am really not sure what you mean, it was taken in the spirit of fun which was what you intended. May we have more please.
