When we bought our apartment in Pula Sardinia, we used a company called sardohousing. The agent Sjoerd (shord) is from Holland, speaks perfect English and ½ûÂþÌìÌà and is one of the most kindest and most helpful person you could wish to meet. He arranged everything for us including the notary where we had all paperwork translated into English. He took us very gently through the process and nothing was too much trouble for him. He arranged accomodation for our visits to Cagliari and can put you in touch with tradesmen and professionals.

Hi PAS 55. Sorry but when we had the bathroom fitted a local plumbers merchant arranged for the plumber to fit everything whilst we were in England. We didn't have any contact. Life in Pula is fantastic and I can't wait to retire! I only hope Cagliari escape the drop from Serie A and that would make this year perfect.

I can't believe how friendly the natives are and how everyone wants to talk, invite you for meals etc. In all the years that we went to various parts of Spain and Greece we were never invited anywhere (unless we were paying!) we have totally fallen for the island and can't wait to become true natives. The only problem we have is we try very hard to converse in ½ûÂþÌìÌà and get better, but all the people want to try and talk English! How is life in Villasimius

It's great ours is a holiday home moved in March still running round buying furniture. We live just a 10 minute drive from Luton airport which great.Yep your right about them all wanting to use their English(makes you lazy) the people are very friendly.Where back out on the 13th of May!!
I have been using an Internatianal law firm based in London to buy a property in Abruzzo and they have experienced ½ûÂþÌìÌà lawyers based here and associates in Italy. Very helpful, particularly if you are not fluent in ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ. Their web site is very informative and gives you a rough idea of the system and likely costs.
