2000 xmas sales

hello
this is my first posting on the site and it is a general question to see if anyone knows when the sales begin in Rome and Milan after christmas.I know it is epiphany on the 6th january but as this is a friday does that mean the stores will be closed for the weekend aswell? I have been to Italy many times and have always promised to spoil my fiancee in the sales but it is proving very dificult to find when they start.Any help would be appreciated.

Milan sales should begin 7th Jan. I assume Rome will be the same.
Dates are set by the provincia, and are meant to be legal and binding. Most of Italy will be having winter sales from 7th jan to 7 March. Sicily and Sardinia usually start a week later. Naples starts when it likes. Happy shopping

thanks alot for that.I had heard they started around then but I wasnt sure because of the epiphany holiday,as someone else had said they would have the weekend off aswell.Thanks again.
