We had to search for a mattress and bed for our bedroom in a period townhouse in Ostuni.
For posters on the forum that know Ostuni and the area around some of the rooms in historic properties can be very odd shapes and sizes.With some bedrooms on mezzanine platforms.
We found a shop called Dormiletto which I think is a franchise. As I recall they sold double mattresses in about 6 different widths with the bed bases to match so I am sure you will find something suitable if there is a Dormiletto or similar in your area

I have recently bought mattress covers for the two large beds in Italy and the sizes were 160 x 200 cm. The fitted perfectly.
