1861 just completed

Just Thought i would give some encouragement to the posters out there. We completed on 2 properties on Friday. Wow it was different ( I was slightly more prepared than my wife due to reading this site)but not at all bad. The properties are in Abruzzo. For anyone reading the area is great, the people some of the friendliest I've ever met. ( quite an achievement for a Glaswegian). And the process was strange but re-assuringly rigid and thorough. We used an an agency ( not an estate agent i must add ) called " I for Italy" I cannot recomend them enough. Anna and Luigi were fantastic. Helping us every step of the way.
Now comes the scary bit. Chucking work and preparing to move.
I'm sure I will love it. :D :eek:

Congratulations and good luck. We also completed last Wednesday and I really can't wait to get there for keeps. Other half already living there permanently, but I have to stay here for the time being to pay for everything! Alright for some!

congrats, we're sure too that you will love it.
We completed on two properties in Puglia at the end of September and our move is imminent (once the solicitors and estate agents this end get themselves sorted out).

It's not on many maps but is about 5 mons from Penne

IF anyone is interested in buying a lot with a building permit already to go in a quiet town in calabria near cosenza feel free to email me .. i live in toronto canada but plan to retire in calabria ..the lot has access to mineral water and has a panaroma to die for .. fruit trees also...
