Hi Michelle
Good luck with your search! We are buying a holiday home near Lanciano, hopefully we will complete at the end of Nov, (fingers crossed). Don't know much about ½ûÂþÌìÌà footie, (sorry, had to "google" Baggio). Although my husband informs me we will be attending a calcio match when we are there in January. So I better read the football thread!!

thankyou all for your messages,
Yes il divino codino is indeed the best footballer ever and arrigo satcchi was an evil man , but did poor baggio have to play when injured, yes because he was still the best!!! those curling free kicks!
Enough calcio!
We appreciate all good wishes and although we have 5 children would like a big house cannot afford one! :)
However we feel that the quality of life this could bring to our children would outweigh any problem with over crowding, after all how much room do holiday apartments have! This is what we keep telling the older ones!"!! We are looking for a property with plenty of outdoor space which would fulfill our dream, the children can breath and run about and so can we!!!
And with alittle luck we will be able to sneak off and retire at some point!
We are flying out tomorrow so wish us luck, will post with news on our return!!
hugs to all

Hello to you all, :) :)
Wow, what can I say, We saw exactly what we wanted and have put in an offer , we are waiting for the yes!
Abruzzo was exactly what we were looking for, it has it all. Lanciano is trully beautiful, apologies to anyone who happened to be on the flight to stanstead on saturday at 16:20 from pescara as our children were o.t.t, they had had a hell of a couple of days and were totally exhausted so misbehaved a bit!!(okay they cried!!)
they are normally very good.
We cannot wait to sort everything out as we feel we have found the perfect place. The landscape, the colours, the peace, the location, talk about ticking all the boxes!! need I say more!
Also want to say a big recommendation about ACA, and Jonny Allen, this guy is great, no pressure, just a wealth of knowledge and helpful advice. We feel safe with this purchase and can't wait to get the deal rolling.
Regards
Michelle
Congratulations

Michelle
Well done. We have bought a property south of Tollo in a 'citta' called Canosa Sanitta its a lovely area, fairly close to the sea and national parks.
Have you bought in Lanciano or near, not trying to be nosey, just like to know if I will be able to speak English to anyone anymore ;) no problem if you want to keep it a secret until you are certain.
Hopefully we will be moving quite soon in the new year.
Again well done.

Hi Michelle
Congratulations on finding somewhere. Will be keeping our fingers crossed for you to get that "yes". We totally agree with you about this area. We are hoping to sign final deeds for our house on the 23rd Nov.

:) Great News, our offer has been accepted, so now the roller coaster ride really starts as you can imagine we are very excited!!
Stribs - The house is about 3km from Lanciano in a village, needs a lot of work but is by no means a wreck- it should keep my husband busy while I relax under the olives with a glass of vino! How near are you to Lanciano?
Dave & Denise - Good luck with your completion, hope all goes swimmingly.
:D
Regards
Michelle/baggio
Congratulatios

Well done Michelle/Hubby
Our property is about 10/12km north west from Lanciano. It is right on the edge of Canosa Sanitta about 5/10 min walk from basic shops. It is fairly well up-to-together on one floor except that the kitchen disappeared when the owner left (not unusual apparently), having said that there is a tremendous amount still to be done on the rest of the property.
We will be moving there full-time in about Jan/Feb.
Best of luck, may catch up with you over there.

Hi to you
We're at the same stage of the game as you, got an offer in on a house in Abruzzo and are waiting for things to move forward. We are North of the Rome Pescara motorway but looked at properties around the area where you have bought and it is beautiful! We have kids of a similar age (young teenagers) and we are all excited about the prospects of holidays in Italy all the time. We wish you luck that all goes smoothly.

Hi Michelle, we are just up the road in Marotta, Marche. We have had our holiday appartment (which is used SOOO much in the year) for the last sixteen years. I am 47 and my husband is 50. We have two children aged 21 and 17. My daughter tends to use the place with friends now. It is our second home to us and we wouldn't be without it. :)
