Well.....had a phone call yesterday morning from 'Il Corriere'.....we will be in San Vito dei Normanni in half an hour, they say ! :)
Excellent, so i call Alex , who is having his ½ûÂþÌìÌà lesson in town and despatch him to the allotted meeting place ...the Q8 garage in San Vito dei Normanni.....there he sits and there I am at the house ...get another phone call from the courier...we are in Via Mare...Ah, says I ...so is mio marito in una macchina blu...renault clio.....oh , yes, says the courier...we've just passed him !!!! :rolleyes:
Four phone calls later I finally get them together.
I wait at the house for Mr. Motozappe hardly containing my excitement...Alex arrives...on his own with two books ! :eek: Wrong courier !!:rolleyes:
We still await Mr. Motozappe.....he better be worth it when he gets here !!

Got phone call yesterday from TNT (Mr. Motozappe Courier ) ..will deliver tomorrow sometime between 12 noon and 3 pm. Excellent
11.45 received call ; I am in Carovigno will be in San Vito in 1 hour ....Ok says I.... mi telefona quando arriva e mio marito incontrarsi al supermaercato ...Va bene dica lui , si telefonara quando arrivo a Via Mare !!!! ( hope you're enjoying the awful ½ûÂþÌìÌà !!!).
He telphoned ...Alex belted down there...I got the camera and the Asti ready..important occasion for us..(sad I know !!! :D )...Alex returns laughing his head off and shaking his head ! :) ....with a huge box of bulbs !!!!! :rolleyes:
Assume Motozappe arriving by 3pm....who knows !!!!! ;)
Still as they say 'always look on the bright side of life '.(love that song and the film !!!)...at least everything else is getting delivered ...and can't believe how quickly the bulbs got here...thanks George for putting me onto that Company.

Congratulations on the addition to your family, is the weather too cold to go out walking or can you ride it.
I will be in need of a similar addition when we arrive in January (fingers crossed), I have looked at various sites including MIRA which calls them by name Lara, Liza, Rosita etc.
I will be looking for one to do about 1/2 an acre, can you give me a clue on what size I should be looking at? that is if you can still type with all that vibration. Thanks

You should never have 'sussed' up to owning a motozappe, all the UK 'pugs' in your area will be wanting to borrow it, me included ;-)

We have about 8,000 square metres of land ( how many acres is that ???)and have bought a 5 horsepower jobbie.As we are complete amateurs ...(NO, Never I hear you all say !!! :D ) we have no idea if this is correct , only that Alex can handle it easily ...except when he runs out of petrol :rolleyes: !! ..and he is really pleased with it. We bought it over the internet from [url]www.hobbystore.it[/url] but apparantly there are loads of 'agricultural shops' who sell second hand and new ones...we just couldn't find them so took the easy option :cool: !!!!!
If you want any more technical info about it ....I'll ask Alex when he gets up......I just know it is blue and doesn't have a radio!! !!! :D

Thanks for reply, 8000 sqm is approx 2 acres, we will have 12,000 sqm but most of it is either vines or olive trees. I have had a look at yours on the website (very useful site, one for my favorities, thanks) but can't see the seat, how can I persuade my better half to do the work if she can't sit down? only joking,she's as good as gold.
I think I need one not so powerful, but will look on arrival

I know what you mean...no seat...I wanted to get a tractor !!!!.. :D .. but as our land is sort of terraced it wouldn't have worked !!! :D ...well that's what Alex said !!!! ;)
We have a large Olive grove as well and mr. motozappe is ideal down there....raining today so he is sheltering in the store !!!!!
