Thanks for your advice i did have a god look at the wonderful shops in Pescara selling jewellery and was well impressed.it seems that even small towns have great shops.I specialise in old Trade beads from Venice and other European countries.Last year I went to Ghana to buy the beads.
I'm glad you think there would be an opening in Italy..to tell the truth I love the Inland Revenue who are sooo... helpful and I can even complete a short tax return as this is a new business i started 2 years ago so my earnings are low(rising though!!!!) I would be petrified of the tax offices in Italy !!i will try to pay tax in UK.
My problem next year is that I will be living on a building site not with my own workromm and tools so it would be impossible to carry on in Italy.
If you have any more advice I'd love to hear!
Becky
Hi Becky, what you do in Abruzzo is well valued, repair jewellery is not something that everyone can do and there is a big request for this sort of skills. My mum does the same job, she makes repair and designs jewellery and she is a "contractor" she manages her own time working when she feels like it and makes good money out of it. The best place you can go and ask is the "lupo" jewellery in pescara http://www.italolupo.it/ . do let me know if you want me to find out where else you might go and ask !!
good luck !!
