Talking of bulbs....I haven't seen any huge bags of Daffodils about like you can normally buy in UK ....plenty of small packets but need hundreds so need to buy in bulk and they are too heavy to make mail order practical ....any ideas ? :)
Odd isn't it? We can buy bulbs individually Euro 0.30 each! or in tiny bags of three or five! Now we just ask any Autumn visitors to bring out big bags of whatever bulb we are after and hope they will spread over the years.
Happy planting

We have just imported 1000 crocuses, 300 daffodils and 2 alium collections from Broadleigh Gardens, Taunton, Sommerset for slighlty over £200 and the delivery costs to Tuscany was £24.04. The package must have weighed approximately 30 kilos. They have a website and have a winter and spring catalogue. All the bulbs are named varieties. I have always been very pleased with their service and the quality of their bulbs.

Serge, thanks for reminding me about Broadleigh, they have a really good set up, very professional and superb quality, I would never have thought of ordering for delivery here though :) :) http://www.broadleighbulbs.co.uk/
I've got a little courtyard which has 3 lemon, 3 orange/mandarin and the wonderful Kaki (Persimmon ) trees in it. I would like to add some flowers so would be grateful for any suggestions.
I'm going to plant a load of spring bulbs as they are usually OK round trees but any ideas for summer flowering stuff. I would prefer stuff that comes up year after year as opposed to bedding plants. Obviously don't want anything too tall but lots of colour and Ok round trees.Irrigation not a problem...water on tap !!
As usual any ideas, thoughts greatly appreciated !!
By the way we are now the proud owners of our own MOTOZAPPE !!! Well it arrives on Wednesday...that should be a laugh !!

why don't you try tulips we find them here easily enough in big bags even the black ones, low work factor and ours have done three years without problems making nice splash of color..
