A huge thank you to everyone on the forum who over the last 2-3 years have answered our odd questions and helped to give us enough information and advice to finally buy a house in Italy. We viewed many, many houses and met many dodgy agents, but we kept going and finally found a great house in a super area.

We finally signed the rogitto last Thursday for our house in Vergato, near Bologna and moved in straight away! What has really amazed us is how helpfull everyone has been - helping change electric/water contracts, registering with the commune and opening bank accounts.

Now looking forward to long holidays and lots of weekends in our own home and no early accomodation checkout time!
