1607 Pruniing the vines

I have read somewhere that to prune the vines you leave behind the shoots which didn't bear fruit this year.......trouble is , I've picked all the grapes a couple of weeks ago !!!!!! :rolleyes:
Has anyone got any tips on best thing to do ...
