Property Sales/Rental Advice

I can recommend one in or very near Bagnone, but I wouldn't have said that was particularly near Casola. I'd have thought Fivizzano or Aulla would be closer. That said here are my suggestions:

Villa Mimosa in Bagnone (Corlaga): http://www.specialplacestostay.com/search/display.php?FileID=it1378

Here also is a list of agriturismi in the area: http://www.lunigiana.net/agriturismi.htm I can recommend both Praduscella and Il Bardellino from personal experience.

Also, I was perfectly happy with Albergo Mauro in Barbaraso: http://www.lunigiana.net/albergo_mauro/default.htm Although it's a bit further away than the agriturismi above it's closer than Villa Mamosa and they have a restaurant with fabulous food.

I stayed in Villa Mimosa when I had to go out and sign the contract for our house so I have sentimental feelings about it - and of course Alan and Jenny are english so you feel slightly less stressed in what can be a fairly stressful time. The other places that I mentioned above are all italian speaking only, I think, or if they have any english it is quite limited.

Anyway, good luck.

We stayed at the Locanda Gavarini last year and found it very conveniently located. It didn't hurt that the restaurant is really, really, good, too.

You can check out their website, www.locandagavarini.it, which has good info about the rooms and the restaurant.

We also stayed at the Hotel Demy in Aulla. It was clean, comfortable and everyone was more than helpful. They also have a decent restaurant.

Hope this helps.

I've sent you a private message re accommodation, if you fancy self catering.

Kanea, is the house in Bagnone? I've just got back from signing the proposta for a little house there... truely beautiful.

Sorry - also forgot to mention that "La Lina" in Bagnone itself has rooms - unfortunately, I don't have their telephone number here in England.
