Thank you for the welcomes.
EddieB: I find it somewhat hard to give a quantifiable reason as to why I love Napoli... I just do. It's (in my opinion, anyway) a captivating place and there is nowhere else quite like it that I have found yet.
Sweetpeg: If I can make it happen, 2006 will indeed prove to be a very exciting and life-changing year for me!
Giovanni: "Proper" just about sums it up.

I love Naples..I live 3 hours south of there but usually fly out thru the Naples airport to the States and have to say the airport is the greatest. Easy checkins, not that big just perfect for starting your holiday with out all the hassle of big time airports. The people are sooo nice in Naples, down to earth and not snobby like some cities in Italy as I should know, as the one near me is just that! Good luck and make your dreams come true.
Colin
Since no-one else seems to have issued a warm welcome to you (as far as I can guess, the usual eagle-eyed greeters are all busy planning for a star-studded celebrity night out in Carovigno) I'd like to say how much I enjoyed your enthusiasm for Napoli.
Have to admit I don't share it, though. Much as the centro storico is very beautiful, I'm afraid much of Naples seems to me a bit like an abandoned outside toilet, despite the faded grandeur of its 19th Century buildings.
I know that many people love Naples, finding it romantic and exciting. Your message is a cheering example of that. So, as I say, I wish you good luck and welcome.
