1506 Local history

Assuming that the house we are interested in becomes ours, we'd like to know more about a) 'our' property and b) 'our' town. Can anyone help with how to go about this? My ½ûÂþÌìÌà is basic and so precludes library research in Italy. Presumably the compromesso will give at least the age of the house?

I know it will be in italian but maybe you will get some info.
I entered the town where we are buying on [url]www.google.it[/url] again in italian but there were some good pictures of the town and some of the local events but it gave me a feel for the town and its inhabitants.
