1485 London

Ok, I know it's not about Italy, so I beg your pardon, but I'll in London probably next week.
Is there anybody who can suggest me a good romantic indian restaurant (or a romantic restaurant anyway, no matter the type).

Thanks

Hello Notaio - first off I think its great that on the italy forum people are asking for advice on London!

As for the restaurant it partly depends on your budget.

The most well-known Indian restaurant is the Cinammon Club - very good but expensive and reservation required.

Then there is Cafe Spice Namaste, Quilon is very nice, and Zaika is definetly one for looks

Hope this helps

Ronald

My favourite is The Bombay Brasserie, opposite Gloucester Road tube station or Chutney Mary's on the Kings Road. Both excellent.

Whereabouts are you staying Notaio?

This is a good site for checking out restaurants. There are very upmarket classy Indians as mentioned above or there are cheaper local type ones all over the place.

Juat to add to that.. Haven't been myself but I've heard very good things about 'Amaya' on Motcomb Street, Belgravia, SW1. Belongs to the Chutney Mary crowd.

Derek

Thank you very much for all your informations. They look really useful and... appetizing!

I tasted Chutney Mary 2 years ago and it was great, so may be this time I'll try something different: Zaika and Tamarind sound very intriguing and not so far from the zone where I'll probably book the hotel: Kensington/Knightsbridge

Thanks again

A very good south Indian restaurant in a central location is Rasa. The address is: 6 Dering Street, London, W1R 9AB and this link gives some reviews: http://www.london-eating.co.uk/1977.htm,

The first Rasa restaurant used to be in the good food guide for London (it may still be as far as I know) but it's in North London. From the reviews it looks as if this one is keeping up the standards.
