Well - it would be certainly better to have at least a small outdoor space, but I can appreciate the difference in price for those properties not having any. Where are you thinking of buying? If it is in the "centro storico" of a nice town or village then you could always stroll to a bar and sit in the sun, reading or chatting or whatever.

Unless its in the middle of a city if you are thinking of ever letting it out I would really recommend having somewhere to sit out - one of the things we come to Italy for is the pleasure of sitting in the sun having a drink or a meal..

Thanks for your advice, we've found somewhere with 2 gardens now! one communal right on the property and another 15 seconds down the road... wasnt sure if it would be possible on our budget, but we couldnt be happier : )

Good-o!
It's difficult at times to see beyond 'the place' but sure as eggs are uova, there are plenty more places & the right one is out there!
Waiting was the right decision, I reckon ;)
If I was you, I wouldn't; we have a terrace & that's fine as it allows us to enjoy an al fresco "glass or two".
I can see that in the city, an apartment without terrace or land is almost "de rigeur", but IMHO, if you're looking at a village or rural location I'd stick to your guns & keep slogging away or try to up your budget.... or look in another region (but that's a totally different thread!)
