Following on from the recent edition of ItalyMag that featured Panarea, I was curious as to how many other small ½ûÂþÌìÌà islands there are out there, other than the well known ones such as Sicily, Sardinia, Capri, Ischia and Elba.
This is the list I came up with (thanks to my trusty atlas) and I was wondering how much, if anything, we know about these islands:
Add Tremiti Islands. It's an archipelago in Puglia, Adriatic sea, in front of Gargano.
3 small islands:
San Domino, all covered by pines, with wonderful beaches, cliffs, clear water, a paradise for diving
San Nicola, the historical one, with the old town, the cathedral, no trees only white houses
Capraia, inhabitated, no trees, only rocks
I suggest a trip in September or June, less people, but still good sea
