945 are you out there ?

Hi everyone. I'm lucky enough to be making the "big move" from Nottingham to Grosseto next month, and although I'm delighted to be moving to a very ½ûÂþÌìÌà town, I would like to make some English friends too. Does anyone know of any social events or individuals who might like to meet up in the Southern Tuscany area ? I'm a "young 50" divorced female saxophone player and good for a laugh ! I hope there's someone out there who shares my love of Red Wine, Eddie Izzard and Branston Pickle. Please get in touch! Stella

Hi StellaSax
Just to say Welcome and I'm sure Grosseto will be a new adventure!!
I'm in a different region (Piemonte) - but like you - I love Red wine, Eddie Izzard and Branston Pickle (preferably the Sandwich spread one though ! )
Hope your move goes well - good luck and I'm sure you'll have no trouble meeting lots of english people in that area.
Karen
ps: bring loads of Branston cos they dont sell it here !!!

Hi Stellsax!

Welcome aboard.
We are (will be - haven't made a permanent move yet) miles away from you in Calabria.
Can't offer any help with your area but wanted to say hello :)

Hope all goes well with your move,
Lesley & Brian

Sandwich spread Branston...lightweight.
I'd heard Tuscany was bracing itself for something
Welcome on board, Candy Dulfer fan myself... (Woman, saxophone, ohhhhh :o )
A couple of mates from your old neck of the woods, can be found on www.casadinoce.com

Hi Karen
Thanks for the reply and the tip about Branston - I'll get stocked up !

Hi GeorgeS
Candy Dulfer - good but not as good as David Sanborn or Gerry Mulligan for me.

Ahhh, but, you know what to listen for, I just listen. :)
