408 Luuca Summer Music Festival

Further to my request for the timetable for the above, which I have now gratefully received.
If you don't have a ticket for the seated area I presume you can still visit Lucca and enjoy the atmosphere.
Are there any restrictions in moving about???

Only Piazza Napoleone is sealed off.The rest of centro storico is open!As well as seating tickets there are also standing tickets for each concert.Although the festival site has yet to announce ticket details there is a local Lucca website stating that tickets are available on 0039 0584 46477

I am checking the Lucca site daily for ticket details. I will, if nobody else does, let the list know when the details/booking goes live. Who are you going to see. Terence Blanchard fits in with my travel plans.

I was in Lucca on Saturday and there are now ticket booths up in the town - I was told that the tickets had gone on sale that day. I've checked www.summer-festival.com - although it has the listing for the concerts you don't appear to be able to buy tickets through them (not sure if that will come later). Try www.ticketone.it putting Lucca in as a search. They appear to have tickets for all the concerts for sale although I haven't followed it right through and actually bought any yet - it's all in ½ûÂþÌìÌà so if you need a hand just give me a shout. Some of the concerts are standing only and some are seating only (but not numbered seating).
And for anyone that was looking forward to Anastacia, afraid it's been cancelled.

Does anyone know what's happened to Anastacia?

I seem to recall that she was playing Lucca too, but she seems to have disappeared........help!

Peter Gabriel. I was sure he was lined up to play in our last night there. Anyway - this link goes straight to the Lucca ticket option

I hope

I was attempting to buy some tickets. On the registration form you have to enter country of residence. There is no option for UK or Scotland! Hmmm!?!

I have also scanned the ticket site and find it rather strange that every region and state is represented in the postal addresses but nothing for the UK.
If anyone has a suggestion it would be gratefully received.

If people are still havig problems finding tickets & getting them delivered to the UK, I have had no problem on www.ticketone.it.

Roll on James Brown............."Waaaaaatch a me now!"........sorry, it seems to be happening a lot since I booked the tickets(!)

I just got back yesterday (to Scotland) from two glorious weeks in Tuscanny. I attended the Terence Blanchard concert and witnessed a virtuoso performance by him and his band (the guitarist realy stood out).

The gig though was very poorly attended. There was a little rain that night and I think that was a bit much for the Lucca urbane-ites. Being scottish, I took it in my stride, being no stranger to the water cycle. It did mean that my daughter got a fantastic view of the concert - front row - centre stage.

I wish I could have stayed to see James Brown...

On the 22/7 at the Lucca summer festival, Giorgia will be performing I would reccomend her she has a stunning voice and many lovely songs you will not be dissapointed. So for the many Brits that will be in the area take this opportunity to get to know one of Italy's best female artists only second to Laura Pausini of course.
