If like me, one of the few things you miss in Italy is a decent department store, in particular John Lewis, you may be interested to know that they now offer international delivery for £7-50. Bliss!

I am fully aware of that and also that many Amazon items are sold via a 3rd party ie 'Marketplace' where you do pay overseas p&p. Many things on the JL site are not available on Amazon and although you are clearly not interested, there may be others who are!

Thanks Andiamo.  I checked out there site when we first came to Italy in 2006 and for overseas you had to call (I think) their Oxford Street store.  Never got round to trying that but shall certainly be checking their site again now.

Yeah but Dylano the £7.50 is a flat rate per order; so you can get multiple items both big and small for that amount, which I think is good value. Not as I'm an avid John Lewis fan, but I would probably spend that amount and more on Petrol to get to Ikea. Thanks for the info Andiamo; Also M&S deliver to Italy so all things considered ....Result..!

We have never been beholden to John Lewis, but having looked at it, their range is pretty good ? And for £7.50 delivery charge for multiple items, it seems hard to believe ? Has anybody actually ordered and received multiple items for this price ? S

No but if they say they do it then I'm sure they do. Their customer services is second to none. Great place for really good quality linens at reasonable prices (unlike here where they are lovely but horrendous prices).

I haven't finalised an order with JL yet but I have certainly had some very large orders from M & S and they have the same deal with regard to delivery.  For this reason I wait until I need quite a lot of linen/clothes/pillows etc and it all turns up for just £7.50 (and one or twice for just £5).
