Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a whole prosciutto from a mangalitsa pig?  And if so, where can it be purchaesd?   The mangalitsa is a hairy pig that was bred in Hungary and is a cross between a domestic pig and a wild boar.

Mangalitsa or Mangalica (Woolly Pigs) is a Hungarian Breed related to the "pata negra" Spanish breed. There is a number of these pigs being bred in Italy. If you are in the USA, Costco sells whole hams being produced in Spain, under the D'Artagnan brand name. In any case, here is some relevant information:

Thank you Gala Placidia - a great link.  Georgette.  I was in the Food Hall in Harrods and they were selling it for +/- $16 per 100 grams.  A sign noted that it came from Umbria.  The taste is far richer than the traditional prosciutto from ER.
