BBC World was still there today but not BBC Entertainment. I think Sky will be losing me too! I notice there is now a facebook campaign to bring it back. Sky took the channel off without any warning.

We are very angry as Sky Italia have decided to remove BBC Entertainment from theirChannels Especially as they did not even have the courtesy to warn customers of this imminent change. This is disgraceful. Themain reason that we have Sky Italy is to watch the BBC channel. This channel is very important for Brits who have chosen to live in Italy. Skyhave made a big mistake. Not all viewers want to watch football and sports !!! Sky Italiaare making the mistake in trying to supply quantity rather than quality programs. A group has been started on Facebook “BRING BACK BBC ENTERTAINMENT ON SKY ITALIA !!” via which it is advised to bombardSKY Italia with phone calls, emails and faxes of complaint. There have been reports of staff on theSKY Client Help Line putting the phone down on irate customers. Disgraceful !!! It is clear thatSKY have no consideration for their viewers.I have written to several British newspapers on this subject: The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The Guardian. Perhaps one would like to write an article on this topic. If Sky Italia do not restore BBC Entertainment we will cancel our contract and will encourage all our English friends and family to do that too. We have a BLOG and have written about this subject. BBC Entertainment Has Fallen From The Sky: You can read myarticle here: Looking forward to hearing from other fans of BBC Entertainment. Ciao for now !!! Luisa

Got this from the web Announcement: ITALY: BBC ENTERTAINMENT EUROPE Posted By: Created in: Category: Posted: 01 Mar 2010, 17:34 Dear Viewers, Unfortunately, SKY Italia has decided not to renew carriage of BBC Entertainment and, as such, the channel ceased transmission on the platform from 28th February 2010 at 24.00 hours. We are currently talking to a number of operators about the opportunity to roll out our portfolio of BBC-branded channels in Italy and we aim to agree carriage for the new channels as quickly as possible so that viewers can resume enjoying BBC content. We hope to be able to announce news of channel launches in the near future. Best wishes, BBC Worldwide Channels
