Libraries in Le MarcheThe Marche region of central Italy – about one third down the Adriatic coast – is full of small, fortified hill towns. It is an area I have come to know well through regular holidaying and, as a librarian, I was intrigued to start investigating some of its small, semi-forgotten book collections.Read my blog to find out about beautiful and rare, antiquarian books in Ostra Vetere, Jesi, Corinaldo and Mondavio. Some are incunabula and date back to the 15th century, shortly after the arrival of printing in Italy.
