Porto Torres (Sardinia)

Porto Torres is a town in the Province of Sassari, northern Sardinia. Porto Torres is the result of two millennia of history, as told by archaeological treasures and monuments, embellished by the wild nature of Parco dell’Asinara. In the international port stands the imposing Torre Aragonese (1325), a defensive structure and lighthouse, today used as an exhibition site. The Torre di Abbacurrente (1578) harks the beginning of the Turritano stretch of Platamona. Near the city, vertiginous cliffs plunge into the blue sea peppered with pretty sandy coves, such as the Balai beach. Other sights are the 11th-century Basilica of San Gavino (the largest Romanesque church in Sardinia), the Neolithic necropolis of Su Crucifissu Mannu and Li Lioni, the Nuraghe of la Camusina, Li Pedriazzi, Margone and Minciaredda, the Catacombs of Tanca Borgona and piazzale Amsicora.

Recipes

Our recipe of the week is made with "fregula", similar to couscous but with a more toothsome bite. This grain is typical to Sardinia and best serves with a delicious clam sauce.

Flights from Rome to Sardinia

Does anyone know if RyanAir is the only airline that flies from Rome to Sardinia, direct.

Hi, I am starting the process of building a simple minimalist studio space in Sardegna (no interiors walls, no bathroom and just a small kitchen) and I am looking for a good and trustworthy Geometra. I was wondering if anyone here had a good experience and could recommend one.
