2038 Auctions or exchanges

Hi all

I'm trying to find out about auctions ... I have a house in the Marche region requiring some restoration that I need to sell very quickly.

I considered selling in an auction, however I have been told that there are no property auctions in Italy as we know them in the UK. Is this correct?

In the UK, it's possible to 'swap' or exchange one house for another (though rare); this is an alternative that's been suggested, but I suspect the legal side of this would be horrific, unless someone knows a clever website that covers this.

Any advice welcome!

Thanks

sorry, no private auctions in Italy (it's a very, very rare event).
Even in Italy it's possible to exchanges houses, it's called "permuta", the legal side it's quite simple (surely not horrific), but it's much more complicated the practical side: how to find someone who wants to "swap" his house with mine ?
I don't think there are websites covering this matter, but my be I'm wrong.
Good luck!

Just a thought, but, is there anything to stop you auctioning the house in UK, obviously you'd have to sort out the legal side in Italy, but that shouldn't be too time consuming, also think about E Bay, I think it possible to sll houses there.
Best of Luck.
