1871 Building permit for internal renovation works?
I own a property in Italy, and was considering applynig for a renovation-mortgage with an italian bank. They told me that I would have to present a building permit along with the application, but I am not convinced that I even need a building permit, or DIA (denunzio di inizio attività ) in order to progress with the renovation works, that are all on the inside of the property (renovation of a kitchen and a bathroom).
Does anyone else have any experience with this sort of renovation? Is it not true that internal renovation works do not require any biuilding permit? Is there some sort of "line" that devides the sort of work that the permit is needed for and which ones not?
When I did my house up - the Geometra said that as we were having internal walls knocked down we would need permission [at least think that's what he said!]
After the works were completed, the house was 're-measured' internally and the results sent to the Commune, [so they would have the latest plans/room sizes]
