2086 Christmas Chaos - Suggestions Please...

Not strictly speaking ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, unless you count the food options, but I am desperate and need all the help and advice I can get.

As some of you are aware, I am spending Christmas with my sister in London, and our mother will be joining us from Cape Town.

Now, there is a slight problem with my sister's flat in London in that it is tiny (apparently the whole unit, including kitchen and bathroom, is smaller than her double room was here). As a result, she has limited cooking facilities and storage space.

What can I made for Christmas that will either keep fresh if prepared a day or two in advance (and probably stored outside a refrigerator) or would be small enough to prepare in a mini-cooker/oven?

Also, what else could I bring with me to enhance the festive atmosphere?

Here's another ... Marks and Spencers, your Mum will never know the difference ;)

Agreed Prosecco and Marks and Spencers are the ticket.

Tesco's premium stuff and watross are very good too.

As I am taking a ferry/train combo to London I was thinking of taking some goodies with me from here - the usual stuff like panforte and pannetone which is cheaper here than in London, as well as some biscuits and other traditional SA goodies for Christmas.

I am also toying with the idea of taking a small ham with - the quality here is infinitely superior to what I could afford in London.

Then somehow I have to find room for clothes and Christmas gifts (haven't even thought about Christmas shopping yet).

Prosecco would be lovely (if only for me to steady my nerves).

Thanks for the suggestions - will hit the shops with a vengeance when I get there.
