1849 Advertising - internet or paper?

Just wondered if anyone had any opinions about whether advertising is still most effective through the traditional magazine/paper route or whether the internet has taken over - by that I mean putting an ad on a website as opposed to just having a website? (I am of course referring to something to do with Italy ;))

depends on your target market I suppose. Whenever I'm looking for something I always use the internet first and I imagine must of the people on this forum do. But there are still an awful lot of computer shy people out there.

If your'e considering putting an ad on an existing website you need to know how many hits they get and some stats on conversion to enquiries, maybe a reference from one of their existing customers.

If you're starting your own website you will need to get it into the internet search engines before you can expect to see any results.
