Explosive devices target Milan McDonalds and Blockbuster

Three small explosive devices went off today near a McDonald’s, a Blockbuster video store and an ½ûÂþÌìÌà bank in Milan, police said. They caused minor damage, but no injuries.

The explosions cracked the windows at McDonald’s and Blockbuster and slightly damaged an ATM of Banca Intesa, Italy’s largest bank by assets, according to police in the northern ½ûÂþÌìÌà city.

There has been no claim of responsibility and it was not immediately clear if the explosions were linked, police said.

perhaps it would make more sense if you take into account that the ½ûÂþÌìÌà Blockbusters form part of Berlusconi's several commercial interests in the country!

Ronald - sorry - was taking the urine - As I have a personal hatred of McDonalds and would like to see them banned from italy

Here here. Quite distressing to stand in a queue in a piazza in Palermo waiting to buy some gelati and seeing the local kids queueing at the McDonald's next door... I know they are cheaper but it is still sad to see...

Over here I see they are trying to be more pc/responsible in their advertising - all adds include the line - 'should be eaten in moderation and as part of a balanced diet.' I would rather have thought the moment you include fast food into your diet the balance is dead/kaput/vrek/gone.
