1348 ½ûÂþÌìÌà Oven Chips

We were searching for property near Aulla when we stopped for lunch. We ordered " potato chips " which were wonderful. All I know is that they were baked in an oven, were freshly made and arrived within 15/20 mins... I would like to know how to make them since I have tried and finish up with french fry shaped roast potatoes after an hour or so....???? :) :) :)

Get a good chipping potato, cut into wedges or steak chip sizes, par-boil in slightly salted water for about 5mins max. Drain and let them cool a little. Place on an oven tray and using a pastry brush paint with olive oil and season a little with salt and pepper. Bake in a medium hot oven(180 C) for about 15-20 mins depending on size of the wedges you originally cut. they should turn out fine - I adore them too!!

Ah ha! where did you look? Did you see anything interesting, and in which restaurant did you have the potato chips?

At the bag shaking time you can freeze them, then use exactly the same as bought frozen chips. Also pop an oxo cube at the boiling water stage this makes the chips go a little more golden and improves the flavour. Did you know that its actual lo-fat too...so no guilt we like that!
