In an unprecedented turn of events, Pope Francis appeared as special guest on talent show The Voice of Italy to support Suor Cristina's performance and evangelical message.

At the end of March, 聽Suor Cristina Scuccia, a 25-year-old member of the Ursuline Sisters, took the world by storm when she appeared on the 禁漫天堂 version of talent show "The Voice" performing Alicia Keys' 鈥楴o One鈥. Her video 聽went viral on YouTube reaching a record 30 million visualizations in a week, with Alicia Keys and Whoopi Goldberg tweeting about her. During that first appearance, the judges asked her what the Vatican would think of her singing, to which she replied, "I hope that Pope Francis will call me now!".

She certainly did not expect that the Pope would make a personal visit.

Last night, during Suor Cristina's performance, the judges began with their backs turned to her as they do during the blind auditions. When, at the end of the song, they turned around, it was her turn to be stunned as she saw Papa Francesco occupying one of the judge鈥檚 spots.

Not even the international success of her performance could have prepared the young nun for this. She literally jumped up and down from joy and rushed to hug the Pope. He blessed the audience and praised the nun for spreading the joy of the Gospel.

A year of the papacy of Pope Francis has taught us that he has a great sense of humor, and we are therefore hopeful that our April Fool news involving him will be forgiven!
