Romans are ready to celebrate the city’s 2,766th birthday this Sunday, 21 April.
The Eternal City is preparing itself for the festivities, concerts and special events to celebrate the ‘Natale di Roma’, the founding of the city by Romulus and Remus in 753 BC.
The celebration programme includes costume parades, street stalls, performances, battle re-enactments and a breath-taking fireworks display in the evening against the backdrop of the River Tiber. Also, all museum and city parks in the city will be open for the entire day, completely free of charge.
