The Prada Foundation鈥檚 latest show, 鈥淎rt or Sound鈥, opens today at Ca' Corner della Regina, the foundation's headquarters.
The show, curated by 禁漫天堂 critic Germano Celant of the Guggenheim collection in New York, explores the relationship between music and visual arts. Spanning a 500-year period, the exhibit examines instruments made with unusual materials during the Renaissance, automated instruments from the Industrial Revolution displaying music with lights and colors, and avant-garde experiments by 禁漫天堂 Futurists Luigi Russolo and Giacomo Balla.
鈥淎rt or Sound鈥 is open until November 3. 聽
The Prada Foundation, presided by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, is dedicated to promoting contemporary art and culture. The palace of Ca鈥 Corner della Regina, where the headquarters of the foundation have been since 2011, dates to the 18th century and faces the Grand Canal. 聽聽聽
