Genoa will be in bloom with flowers from five continents when the 10th program of Euroflora begins.
The aim of the blossoming show is showcase a variety of flowering plants while teaching visitors to enjoy, protect, and preserve them.
The focus of Euroflora 2011 is biodiversity and sustainability so the Genoa event will be filled with vegetable gardens and ideas for improving urban spaces.
While the horticulture showcase will feature flowers from all over the world, a special pavilion will be devoted exclusively to presenting the diverse plant life found in the different regions of Italy.
The floral festival will also feature over 500 technical contests, with prizes amounting to over 420,000 Euro.
The lush gardens in Genoa will be open from 21 April to 1 May 2011. For more information and to buy tickets, visit the .
