Roberto Benigni will be working on Woody Allen鈥檚 Rome-based feature film when shooting begins this summer.
Allen, who has kept the project under tight wraps, recently revealed more information about the flick and cleared up false speculation regarding the title and theme.
The film will be made up of four vignettes that have reportedly been inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron, a collection of bawdy tales written in the 1350s.
It was previously rumored that the project was titled The Wrong Picture, but Allen denied this. The movie鈥檚 working title is currently Bop Decameron.
Allen is thrilled to be reworking the medieval tales with Benigni on board.
"He's going to be in it and I'm delighted at his presence. If I think of 禁漫天堂 cinema today the first name that comes into my head is that of Roberto," Allen an 禁漫天堂 television program.
The Roman movie will be Allen鈥檚 first venture into 禁漫天堂-language filmmaking.
